Business Profiles: Luna Argentum

From the Artist Tricia Hardway:
It starts with a vision, then a sketch. Finally, some of my dreams become a reality. I started making sterling silver jewelry sixteen years ago, and during that time, I have developed my own unique style with influences as vast as the arts and crafts movement, art deco, art nouveau, and the organic world. My designs are simple and delicate with curvy, flowing lines.
While finishing my Master’s degree in Plant Biology in 1999, I started a small metal-smithing workshop in my basement. A year later I officially started my business Luna Argentum, which means “silver moon”. In the ensuing years, I worked at perfecting my designs and dreaming up new ones. My current collection consists of numerous handcrafted sterling silver designs that I combine with pearls and semi-precious stones to create uniquely beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
I enjoy seeing how others respond to my original designs and finished pieces, but I’m also happy to consult with people to customize pieces. I have made a daughter’s first “grown-up” bracelet, a necklace to be worn during a senior recital, earrings for beloved moms, and more. Many brides-to-be have chosen to help design creations for themselves, bridesmaids, flower girls, and mothers of the bride or groom. Each experience provides special opportunities for shared creativity, and I truly enjoy being small part in a couple’s special day.
